How to Spend a Weekend in Nashville
Nashville is known as the Country Music capital of the world, but we think it needs another name … the Bachelorette capital lol. We went to Nashville for a bachelorette party, but extended our trip a few days so we could see a completely different side to Nashville as well. There are definitely more than just two sides to the city, and depending on how you like to travel, Nashville offers a little something for everyone.
A fair warning: if you are traveling to Nashville over the weekend, prepare to see hundreds (no that is not a typo lol) of bachelorette parties all around the city. We spotted them in the most popular areas like Broadway and the Gulch, but just be prepared that you will see a lot of them during your weekend trip.
Where to Stay in Nashville
We stayed in 2 different areas of Nashville during our trip, first we stayed at an Airbnb near 12th South and later we stayed at The Gallatin Hotel in East Nashville. We personally liked staying near 12th South better because that area had a few shops & restaurants, but there are a bunch of other areas in Nashville where you can stay as well. Each area offers something different so I would recommend checking what you want to do first before deciding where to stay.

How to Get Around Nashville
The best way to get around Nashville is to take Ubers or Lyfts. You can walk within certain neighborhoods, but you can’t walk between the different neighborhoods . Definitely be prepared to take ride shares during your trip to Nashville.
Best Things to Do in Nashville
Walk down Broadway — the ‘Main Street’ of downtown Nashville with bars and restaurants from famous country stars like Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, & more.
Go shopping in The Gulch — an upscale/hip neighborhood where you will find the famous ‘What Lifts You’ wings mural.
See a performance at the iconic Grand Ole' Opry
Take a stroll down 12th South, a trendy street with cool street art, shops, and restaurants.
Have Brunch at The Hampton Social, one of the most famous brunch spots in the city. It’s also very Instagrammable with neon signs and a swing.
Take a trip to Gaylord Opryland — an indoor greenhouse shopping experience which is part of the Gaylord Resort.
Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame
Make the trip down to the Bluebird Cafe for live music — it’s also where some famous Country Stars were discovered like Taylor Swift!
Try Nashville Hot Chicken — a famous spicy chicken dish local to the city. Since we are vegan, we tried a vegan version at a restaurant called Graze and it was AMAZING!
Check out one of the many rooftop bars — downtown Nashville has tons of rooftop bars that offer amazing views of the city! Our favorite was the Acme rooftop for the epic views of the Cumberland River.
