The views in Grand Teton National Park are some of the most insane views we’ve ever seen! The park is extremely picturesque and driving through was one of the most beautiful drives we have ever done. Grand Teton is located right between the town of Jackson Hole & Yellowstone National Park which makes it the perfect spot to do some adventuring. It’s probably our favorite National Park we’ve ever visited because the views are just unbeatable. We spent a few days in the park so we made a guide of what you absolutely have to do when visiting Grand Teton!

Where to Stay to Visit Grand Teton

We stayed in the town of Jackson Hole and it was honestly perfect. The entrance to Grand Teton is right in the town and it takes probably 5 minutes to drive into the park. There are actually tons of places to stay inside the park if you want to, or if you want to camp inside the park you can do that too! We were planning on visiting other areas near Jackson Hole so that’s why we chose to stay there and there are a ton of accommodation options in the town as well!

How Much Does it Cost to Enter?

I believe the one day fee is around $30, but you plan on seeing any other National Parks within the year you are better off getting the Interagency Annual Pass for $80. It allows you into hundreds of National Parks across the Unites States for one year. We got that since we were also planning on visiting Yellowstone and Badlands on this trip. You can purchase this pass at the gate of any park or go online and get it mailed to you before you leave on your trip. Trust us, the Interagency Pass is 100% worth it.

  • Jenny Lake - This is an incredible view where you can see the Teton Mountain range right behind the stunning Jenny Lake. We spent a few hours here because it was just go gorgeous. When we visited in August 2020 we weren’t able to hike down to the lake sadly, but it seemed like it was possible! This is one of those views that is burned into our minds forever.

  • Snake River Overlook - This was the first lookout point we saw when driving into the park from eastern Wyoming and it was breathtaking. This is probably one of the most iconic views of the park and it does not disappoint. Make sure you stop here when you’re passing through to see the beauty for yourself. It’s also a great place to snap a photo!

  • Schwabacher Landing - We were lucky enough to meet with a local photographer who took us to this spot. I don’t think we would have known about it otherwise. Schwabacher Landing is so gorgeous, it looks like a painting has come to life. This is definitely one of our favorite spots we visited in the park, and it’s a perfect place to watch the sunset!

  • Teton Park Road - There are 2 main roads in the park; most maps will take you on the interstate but at any of the junctions, if you choose to take Teton Park Road instead, you will see some of the most incredible views on your drive. Sometimes taking the long way is worth it, and this is 100% one of those times. Make sure you take a little drive through Teton Park Road at some point during your visit!

  • String Lake Trail Hike - This was something we didn’t get a chance to do because it was so crowded, but when something is crowded you know that means it’s worth it. A local told us that the String Lake Trail hike actually leads to a beautiful beach and it’s where a lot of the locals will hangout. The parking lot was full from early morning till after sunset so we weren’t able to see it for ourselves, but we always trust the locals so if you get a chance to do this hike you definitely should!

If you want to see the amazing Teton views for yourself, make sure you check out our YouTube vlogs from this trip! We visited Grand Teton a few times during our road trip and were amazed every single time.
