We realized after traveling together for almost 5 years that places that are hyped up a lot we tend to not like, and places that we’ve never heard of blow us away. Casper, Wyoming is one of those unexpected places that we fell completely in love with. Casper is a pretty big city in Wyoming, but since we live in NYC, Casper felt more like a small town to us. But don’t be fooled, there is a ton to do here. The Oregon trail actually passed through Casper so there is a lot of interesting US history here. We were only in Casper for one day but we did so much including visiting the local art museum, hiking to a waterfall, and trying amazing cocktails at a queer owned distillery! Keep on reading to see all of our tips for Casper because we have a lot to tell you.

How is Casper Handling COVID-19?

To be honest, we didn’t encounter a lot of other tourists or even too many locals around Casper, which is a good thing in regards to Covid-19! We pretty much walked around the town freely without having to worry about passing other people which was nice. Most businesses in Casper requested that you wear a mask when you enter, and bunch of restaurants offered outdoor seating. If you want to travel somewhere where you won’t have to avoid crowds, Casper is a greta place to visit.

Where to Stay in Casper

We stayed at Ramkota Casper during out stay. The hotel was huge which was nice because again, we didn’t pass by a lot of people in the hallways or common areas. Our room was really big but to be honest we didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel because we were out exploring the whole day! The hotel is in a great location for anything you want to do in Casper so if you need a place to stay, you should deff look into Ramkota Casper.
