Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana | Review
This was our first time ever staying at an all inclusive resort, and we weren’t sure what to expect. We were invited by HRHC Punta Cana to check out the property, and we took them up on the offer since it was something different and out of our comfort zone. When we arrived, we were shocked at how massive the property truly was! We didn’t realize how much there was to do and see just on the property alone, and the best part was that it was located right on the beach. In this blog post we will give you a full review of what we thought of the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, and what things you have to do and cannot miss on the property.
Our Room | Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana
We stayed in one of the Caribbean Suites, and thought it was one of the biggest hotels rooms we had ever been in! It was so roomy and had tons of space. Our favorite part was the bath tub on our balcony. There are a few different buildings with rooms, but we liked where ours was located because it was fairly close to the beach. As we said already, the property is huge, but since we are New Yorker we walked everywhere to/from our room. But if you don’t want to/can’t walk, there are property golf carts that will take you anywhere you want to go for free!
Our Fav property amenities
There are tons of things you can do at the Hard Rock Punta Cana, we’re gonna list our favorites below:
Rockaway Bay Water Park - The water park was our favorite thing on the property! It’s for all ages and there are tons of water slides, pools, as well as a dry and wet bar. We went on a bunch of the different slides and then relaxes by the pool after. It’s a great area for all ages and families!
Beach Access - As we said earlier, the HRHC Punta Cana is located right on the beach. The beach area in front of the hotel is miles long, and there are tons of beach chairs for relaxing. We loved swimming in the blue, ocean water and really enjoyed staying at a property so close to the beach!
Pools - there are 13 pools all over the property and each pool has a different vibe! Some are more chill, some are party vibes, some are made for kids, there is literally a pool (or multiple pools) for everyone!
Games - of course there is the casino at the Hard Rock Punta Cana, but there’s also other games for adults and kids of all ages! We did the mini golf and really loved it (mini golf wasn’t included i believe it was $10 per person) but there was also bowling, Top Golf, & more.
Excursions - there were lots of excursions you could book right on the property including boat tours, ATV, safari, ziplining, & more! We didn’t have time to do any of the excursions, but if you are staying for a longer time (we only stayed for 3 nights) then it might be something you want to look into!
Shopping - In the main lobby area is where most of the shops and restaurants are located. There are tons of local beach shops, as well as gift shops, a market, jewelry stores, & more!
All inclusive food & drinks
Since HRHC Punta Cana is an all inclusive resort, almost all food & drinks are included. We recommend making reservations at the restaurants you want you eat at as some of them do fill up quickly. As vegans, it was a little difficult to find good plant-based options at the restaurants on the property, but as long as we told the staff before hand, they were usually able to accommodate. We will list our favorite restaurants on property below:
The Market - buffet style
Zen
Los Gallos
Bistro Med
Ciao
Final Thoughts
All in all, we had a really great time at HRHC Punta Cana. It was our first time at an all inclusive, and we definitely get the perks of staying at an all inclusive property. With the food and drinks being included and unlimited, it makes it really affordable to stay at a place like the Hard Rock Punta Cana. As vegans, we wished we would have had more hearty plant-based options (although one of the hotel staff did let us know that they used to have a vegan restaurant on property that recently closed).
We loved all the amenities at the Hard Rock Punta Cana, especially the beach access, pools, and the water park! It really made it so you never had to leave the property, which is great for a relaxing vacation. We wish we would have had more time on this trip to see more of the Dominican Republic outside of the hotel, but there is definitely enough stuff to do on the property where you will not be bored.
