16 Best Instagram Spots in Curaçao
Since Gabi has family in Curaçao and we visit every single year, we have complied a list of our favorite spots to take Instagram photos! Keep reading to see our top photo locations around the island.
Colorful Houses in Punda
Address: 104 Pietermaai, Willemstad Pietermaai, Curaçao
There are tons of colorful houses all around the town of Punda, but the two iconic ones are the pink & yellow houses which are part of Scuba Lodge. This is one of our favorite Instagram spots on the island because it always adds a nice pop of color to our feed!
2. The Dock at Porto Mari
Address: Playa Porto Mari
We love taking photos at the Porto Mari dock because it’s so scenic! You can see the clear blue ocean on all sides and get some of the rocky terrain in the background as well.
3. Bahia Beach Bar at Playa Lagun
Address: Lagun 208 Lagun, Curaçao
The restaurant right above Playa Lagun is a great place to snap an Instagram Photo. It’s super colorful and there’s palm trees & epic views in all directions. Sometimes you can even spot iguanas up here as well!
4. The Rainbow Wall
Address: Sadly we don’t have the address for this one as we only saw it while driving up north towards Christoffel Park. It will be on the right side on the road about half way there from Willemstad!
This wall is a bit hard to find but it’s worth it because there is never anyone there! If you happen to see it while driving towards Christoffel National Park make sure you pull over and stop for a photo!
5. Colorful Stairs in Otrobanda
Address: Van Lennepstraat, Willemstad, Curaçao
These colorful stairs located in Otrobanda are super fun and colorful. This area a lot has a lot of other street art and murals so if you walk around and explore you may find even more Instagram spots!
6. Karakter Beach
Address: Coral Estate, Rif St. Marie, Willibrordus, Curaçao
Karakter Beach is one of our favorite beaches on the island! It’s part of a hotel but you don’t have to pay directly for a beach chair to visit, instead you just need to order either food or drinks from the bar! The water is insanely clear & blue here and there are a lot of opportunities for photos.
7. Seru Mateo Trail
Address: Playa Porto Mari, and the hike starts in the back parking lot
This year was the first year we did this hike and we are obsessed with this view! You can skip the first lookout point and continue hiking to the second one for this exact location.
8. Klein Knip
Address: Klein Knip
Klein Knip has some of the clearest water on all of the beaches on the island! If you bring a GoPro and/or your GoPro dome (or any udnerwater camera) you will be able to get Instagram photos just like this!
9. Lookout Point on Christoffel Mountain
Address: Plantation House Savonet, Weg Naar Westpunt, Curaçao
This is from a lookout point about halfway up the hike up Christoffel Mountain. The hike is beautiful and most of the lookout points and all the way at the top as well!
10. The Abandoned Plane
Address: Koraalspechtweg, Willemstad, Curaçao
This is probably one of our favorite spots in Curaçao! It’s the wreck of an abandoned Aruba P4-YSA Plane. There wasn’t s crash here, most people believe that the plane was moved here and at one point it was even used as a restaurant.
11. Queen Emma Bridge
Address: Kon. Emmabrug, Willemstad, Curaçao
The Queen Emma Bridge is a floating bridge that connects the two towns of Punda and Otrobanda. The bridge is beautiful at night (as you can see here!) but during the day if you get Punda in the background, you can get all the colorful houses behind you as well.
12. Kokomo Beach Swing
Address: Vaersenbaai n/n, Willemstad, Curaçao
The swing at Kokomo beach is a very popular Instagram spot! You will see people trying to take photos on the swings all day haha. The swings are a little hard to get onto, especially if you are short like us, and it’s better if you can have someone else take the photo for you because you would have to put your tripod pretty far away to get this shot yourself.
13. Tugboat Beach
Address: Tugboat Beach
Tugboat Beach is a public beach on the island that is very popular for diving. The beach itself is very eclectic and decorated with local and handmade art. Every inch of this beach is photogenic so if you just walk around you will be tons of Instagram spots.
14. Grote Knip Batido Truck
Address: Grote Knip
Batidos are local smoothies made on the island. You will see batido trucks all over Curaçao but the one at Grote Knip is very colorful and fun! We love taking some Instagram shots here with some fresh batidos!
15. Watamula Hole
Address: Watamula Hole, Curaçao
Watamula Hole is the northern most part of the island. it’s a sinkhole filled with sea water and as the waves crash the water splashes up. It’s very scenic and beautiful and a great spot to snap some Instagram photos. Just beware the coral around this area is not flat so it might be hard to use a tripod here.
16. Scuba Lodge
Address: 104 Pietermaai, Willemstad Pietermaai, Curaçao
You can only access the property if you are staying at the hotel or eating dinner there, but the premises is gorgeous. There are palm trees and colorful walls everywhere and every corner is Instagrammable. If you happen to stay at Scuba Lodge you will definitely not regret it.
